Bhavan students bag the first position in three categories
A Table Tennis Meet is being organised as part of the Special Olympics Bharat Chandigarh Chapter for the special athletes of the tricity.
Thirty-seven special athletes from various institutions for students with special needs participated in the one-of-a-kind event. Differently-abled students from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, SOREM School (Society for the Rehabilitation of the Mentally Challenged), GRID -31, Asha Chandimandir, Sadhana School, Manimajra, Astha Therapeutic Centre, Mohali, Umeed Ashakiran Airforce are competing in the Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles events in the 12-15 years, 16-21 years and 22 years and above categories. 
Senior Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh, Mrs Vineeta Arora inaugurated the Opening Ceremony as Chief Guest.
Ms Neelu Sarin, Area Director, Special Olympics, Chandigarh was also present at the event and offered a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and participants.
The men’s singles in various categories were held today. Bhavan Vidyalya Chandigarh bagged first positions in Division M02, M03, and M04 categories while bagged the third position in Division M01.
Division M01:
1st Prize – Aryan Raj (Asha School, Chandimandir)
2nd Prize – Shivam Kansal ( Astha, Mohali)
3rd Prize – Pulkit Saini (Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh)
4th Prize – Prabhash Yadav (Umeed Asha Kiran)
Division M02:
1st Prize – Hitesh Sachdeva (Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh)
2nd Prize – Supreet Chaudhary (SOREM – 36)
3rd Prize – Digvijay Dhiman(Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh)
Division M03:
1st Prize – Hemant Bajaj (Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh)
2nd Prize – Prateek Sabharwal (SOREM- 36)
3rd Prize – Nehal Sharma (Sadhana School, Manimajra)
4th Prize – Gurpreet Singh (GRIID – 31)
5th Prize – Radhay SHyam (Sadhana School, Manimajra)
Division M06:
1st Place – Hardik Pahwa (Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh)
2nd Place – Hemant Gupta (GRIID - 31)
3rd Place – Kartik (GRIID – 31)
