Punjab Governor to inaugurate Bhavan's Model United Nations
From Knowledge to Wisdom with focus on Peace is theme of BVCMUN
Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh is hosting the 10th Model United Nations (MUN) from 2nd to 4th August with nearly 400 children of 60 schools from different parts of the country including Dubai and Qatar, participating in the three-days assembly.

This year's theme being 'From Knowledge to Wisdom' with a special focus on 'Peace' is being dedicated to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, whose 150th birth anniversary is being celebrated this year.
Since its inception in 2010, BVCMUN has pushed the students beyond conformist boundaries, and has now become a coveted platform that presents to them an opportunity to hone and exhibit their skills in debating and problem solving, and engaging them in deliberations on pressing issues that plague the world today.
Bhavan Vidyalaya is expecting to host over 400 delegates from 60 schools from all over India, alongside teams from Dubai, and Qatar. A highly reputed Executive Board with members from across the country will be presiding over the conference and judging the delegates.
This year's simulation at the BVCMUN will witness debate on agendas pertaining to a wide range of subjects for eight eclectic committees, i.e. United Nations General Assembly – The First Committee (DISEC), United Nations Security Council, United Nations Development Programme (UPAD), International Labour Organisation, International Law Commission, The Bretton Woods Conference, 1944, North Eastern Council, and The George Bush Cabinet – Continuous Crisis Committee
A team of 21 experts and professionals from across the country shall judge, manage, and monitor the proceedings.
