Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh is all set to unveil its first online edition of the Model United Nations Conference to be held on the 13th and 14th of June,
This will be the 11th edition of the prestigious BVCMUN, since its inception in 2010, and Mr. Suresh Kumar, Chief Principal Secretary to Punjab Chief Minister, Captain Amrinder Singh will be the Chief Guest tomorrow via video conference.
The conference is set to bring together schools across the globe via online videoconferencing, and present young minds with an opportunity to hone and exhibit their skills in the debating arena.
With the theme this year being 'From Repression to Expression', BVCMUN2020 aims to address the multifarious challenges plaguing the world today through its ten compelling committees and agendas, informed Senior Principal Vineeta Arora.
Nearly 300 delegates from over 75 schools from India will participate, including 14 international schools across 8 countries i.e from Australia, USA, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
The delegates shall be debating on various international issues in the following Countries, High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development; Group of 20; Historic Security Council; 75 year Review Committee of the United Nations; Joint Parliament Committee on Data Protection; 27th Politburo of the Communist Party of Soviet Union (Politburo); International Organisation for Migration; Cabinet of Iran; Indian Ocean Rim Association; and Biden Presidential Campaign 2020 .
