Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh has contributed a sum of Rs.7 Lakh towards the Prime Minister's PM CARES Fund to tackle the Corona Virus pandemic.
The school's staff members including teachers and clerical staff of the school contributed their 1.5 days' salary to the fund, and the management contributed an equal amount.
The Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund was created on the 28th of March 2020 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Contributions of the school to the fund shall be used to combat, contain and undertake relief efforts against the coronavirus outbreak across India.
The school is also doing its bit by contributing to the food being arranged for 500 people daily, in collaboration with other schools in the Tricity.
