Sonam Wangchuk challenges Chandigarh to partner to 'Live Simply'

Chandigarh, Nov 23:   On the first day of the two days Literati 2019, Sonam Wangchuk, an engineer and innovator based in Ladakh touched the audience with inspiring thoughts in his evening session.
Sonam Wangchuk who inspired the character of Aamir Khan in 3-Idiots, who has revolutionised the school and university education in Ladakh engaging children with more hands-on experience, said that mastery in one's mother tongue and firm grounding can help you learn any language in the world.
Adept in nine languages, Wangchuk shared his life without school for the first nine years because of the small remote village he lived in had no school for which he felt lucky.
Living amidst nature can teach you a lot of things through experiential learnings, he remarked, where he learnt the meaning of winters which was the time to cuddle up with family and listen to all fairy tales from the elders, while summers meant celebrating hard work and physical activity to sow seeds, and work in the fields to grow food.
He asked the people to participate in his global campaign to encourage 'simple living' and contribute through adopting a simple lifesttyle.
