Bhavan Students Visit USA under Student Exchange Programme 

Chandiagarh 30^th Sept 2019:  Seven Students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh alongwith one teacher have reached Knoxville, Tennessee USA under Student Exchange Programme 2019 .

Webb School, Knoxville  has partnered with Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh and had invited 7 students and 1 teacher to visit the Webb School from Sept 28 through 5 Oct for an interchange on cultural and academic affairs.

Students  will be spending a week, living and interacting with host families and students, of Webb School and explore local area attractions.

Earlier Bhavan Vidyalaya had hosted a delegation of 7 students and 2 teachers from the school in Chandigarh for a week in  February this year, which marked the first stage of the Student Exchange Programme.

Such Exchange Programmes are pivotal in the contemporary world as they enable building bridges of understanding amongst students and empower the youth to gain a worldview, making them future world - citizens.

भवन के विधायार्थी अमेरिका पहुंचे

चंडीगढ़ 30 सितंबर 2019: भवन विद्यालय, चंडीगढ़ के सात छात्र एक शिक्षक के साथ छात्र एक्सचेंज प्रोग्राम 2019 के तहत नॉक्सविले, टेनेसी, यूएसए पहुंचे हैं। वेब स्कूल, नॉक्सविले ने भवन विद्यालय, चंडीगढ़ के साथ भागीदारी की है और सांस्कृतिक और शैक्षणिक मामलों पर एक इंटरचेंज के लिए 28 सितम्बर से 5 अक्टूबर तक वेब स्कूल का दौरा करने के लिए 7 छात्रों और 1 शिक्षक को आमंत्रित किया था।

चंडीगढ़ के  छात्र एक सप्तहा मेजबान परिवारों और वेब स्कूल के छात्रों के साथ वहां स्थानीय आकर्षण वः स्कूल का दौरा करेंगे ।

इससे पहले भवन विद्यालय ने इस वर्ष फरवरी में वेब स्कूल के 7 छात्रों और 2 शिक्षकों के एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल की मेजबानी की थी|

इस तरह के एक्सचेंज प्रोग्राम समकालीन दुनिया में महत्वपूर्ण हैं क्योंकि वे छात्रों को एक विश्वदृष्टि हासिल करने के लिए सशक्त बनाते हैं, ताकि वह एक अच्छे ग्लोबल नागरिक बन सके |

Bhavan Students cycle to Dandi to mark 150 years of the Mahatma

28th September 2019: 27 students and 4 teachers of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh have set out on an extraordinary journey carrying the Gandhian message of satya, ahimsa and cleanliness. The troupe will cycle towards the historic city of Dandi on their journey onward on the 28^th.

The Dandi March was one of the most important events in India's struggle for Independence and was an act of nonviolent civil disobedience in colonial India led by the Father of the Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Protesting against the British system of taxation of salt in India, Gandhiji walked 240 miles over a span of 24 days.

Honouring this commitment of Bapu to humanity and satyagraha, the Bhavan Chandigarh team will cycle from Dandi to Surat, carrying the message of peace, honesty and cleanliness.  Senior principal Ms. Vineeta Arora and Vice Principal Ms. Suparna Bansal flagged off the first-of-its-kind event from the school premises Yesterday

As a part of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Gandhiji, the school has organised yearlong programmes, with the objective of acquainting students with Gandhian philosophy and provide them an opportunity to delve on the deeper meaning of his doctrines.

The team shall arrive back in Chandigarh on October 1st after paying tribute to the Mahatma at the historical venue. 

AUROBINDO STUDENT BAGS BRONZE IN TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP

Jia of class –VI participated in Inter School Taekwondo Championship 2019 organised by Education Department at Sports Complex, Sector-34, Chandigarh. She brought laurels to school by winning the bronze medal in weight category 22- 24 Kg. She gave a tough competition to his competitors and performed credibly during the matches. The Chairman, Mr. Arvind Mehan and the Principal, Mrs Garima S Bhardwaj congratulated and blessed her for many more such victories in future.

अरबिंदो किड्स बैग सोने के स्टेट वुशु में चेम्पियनशिप

श्री अरबिंदो स्कूल ऑफ इंटीग्रल एजुकेशन, चंडीगढ़ के छात्रों ने सेक्टर -34 चंडीगढ़ के स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स में आयोजित 9 वीं चंडीगढ़ स्टेट वुशू चैंपियनशिप में कई पदक जीते। उन्होंने विभिन्न भार वर्गों में भाग लिया। सब-जूनियर वर्ग में, कक्षा V के दिग्विजय, चतुर्थ श्रेणी के देव और तीसरी कक्षा के बुमिका ने कक्षा III के प्रेटेक के बजाय स्वर्ण पदक प्राप्त किया। कक्षा दो के चेतन और कक्षा के ईशांत ने कांस्य पदक जीते। जूनियर वर्ग में नौवीं कक्षा की पूजा शर्मा ने कांस्य पदक जीता। अध्यक्ष, श्री अरविंद मेहन और प्रिंसिपल, श्रीमती गरिमा एस भारद्वाज ने विजेताओं को उनके सराहनीय प्रयासों के लिए बधाई दी।

Teachers Day Celebration at Sri Aurobindo School

Teachers Day was celebrated with immense zeal and verve at Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education, Sector 27 A Chandigarh. To honour all the teachers who had been instrumental in shaping their lives, the students put up a spectacular show for the occasion. They exhibited their talents as a treat to the teachers. Through an enchanting blend of dance, music and compering, the students created an enthralling atmosphere. They also presented  beautiful badges and titles along with rose buds to their mentors as token of their love and appreciation. The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Head girl of the school. All the teachers applauded the sincere efforts of the students for making such a glorious event possible. The Chairman, Mr. Arvind Mehan and the Principal, Mrs. Garima S Bhardwaj wished the teachers on this special day and encouraged the students to imbibe all the values instilled by their gurus which will be a real tribute to their mentors.

Honouring the Makers of tomorrow on Teachers' Day

Chandigarh, 6^th September 2019: Teachers Day was celebrated with great verve and enthusiasm at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh yesterday. The day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan- the second President of India, a great academic Philosopher, Diplomat, Scholar and a teacher par excellence, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as Teachers Day all across the country. The celebrations commenced with a special cake cutting by the Senior Principal, Ms. Vineeta Arora and Vice Principal Ms. Suparna Bansal. This was followed by an interesting game of Passing the Parcel, that let the teachers unwind and bring out their best talents. Teachers then put their best foot forward as they danced to the tunes of popular songs. Relaxed and refreshed, the teachers were then treated to a sumptuous lunch at a city hotel by the school management.

Shri R. K. Saboo, Chairman Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra was present on the occasion to wish the teachers. He appreciated their dedication and commitment and presented to each of them a book, Short Stories by Khushwant Singh. Shri P.R. Aggarwal, Hony Secretary and Mr. Madhukar Malhotra, Associate Secretary Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Principal Junior School, Ms. Soma Mukhopadhay were also present on the occasion.

Chandigarh Kendra bags third position in Bhavans' Bhajan Competition

andigarh, 6^th Sept 2019: Commemorating the 150^th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan had organised a National Bhajan Singing Competition on the 30^th and 31^st of August at its Delhi Kendra. Over 25 schools, under the aegis of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, from across the country participated in this unique event.

A team of four students represented Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh Kendra at the event – Moiraa XII C2, Tamanna XA, Abhishek XB and Vedant Zade of IXB. The quartet bagged the third place for their mellifluous rendition of the famous bhajan 'Mat kar moh tu Hari bhajan ko maan re'.

Senior Principal Ms. Vineeta Arora congratulated the team for their award winning performance during the morning assembly and encouraged students to pursue their passions in music and arts ensuring development in all spheres.

Aurobindo Girls Shine in Dodgeball Championship

The girls dodgeball team of Sri Aurobindo School made the school by winning runner up trophy in 1st Dodgeball State Championship held at The Banyan Tree School, Sector 48, Chandigarh. Ten teams from various schools of Chandigarh participated in the tournament. The exuberant players displayed outstanding performance in the championship. They were awarded with silver medals and a trophy. The Principal, Garima S Bhardwaj congratulated the achievers and wished them many more success ahead.  The Chairman, Mr. Arvind Mehan applauded the efforts of the winners.

श्री अरबिंदो स्कूल की  लड़कियों ने डॉगबॉल टीम चंडीगढ़ सेक्टर 48, बनयान ट्री स्कूल में आयोजित फर्स्ट डॉगबॉल स्टेट चैम्पियनशिप में रनर अप ट्रॉफी जीत बनाई । टूर्नामेंट में चंडीगढ़ के विभिन्न स्कूलों की दस टीमों ने भाग लिया। पूर्व खिलाड़ियों ने चैम्पियनशिप में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया। उन्हें रजत पदक और एक ट्रॉफी से सम्मानित किया गया। प्रधानाचार्य, गरिमा एस भारद्वाज ने प्राप्तकर्ताओं को बधाई दी और आगे कई और सफलता की कामना की। सभापति, श्री अरविंद मेहन ने विजेताओं के प्रयासों की सराहना की।

CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP BY CBSE

AT SRI AUROBINDO SCHOOL OF INTEGRAL EDUCATION

An interactive day long workshop was conducted by the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) at Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education, Chandigarh. Mr. Pankaj Munjal, the resource person from CBSE was the master trainer for the day. Around 32 teachers from various school of tricity participated in the workshop to learn about different ways and techniques of developing and enhancing life skills among students of all age groups. The workshop began with an introduction session followed by discussion on importance of developing life skills. Advancing further, there was an interaction about how to handle classroom situation with difficult children. Also, how to incorporate value education in life skills in the students was explained and deliberated. The teachers were made aware that they should not merely prepare life skills lesson but plan in such a way that promotes psycho social competence and mental health of the young adolescents. For developing life skills among children, the teachers and facilitators can make use of real life activities, brain storming, situation analysis, simulation and many more interactive activities. The workshop was really an enriching experience for the teachers as it helped them in imbibing life skills in their teaching style so that children of today get education that adds value to their personality as a whole. The Principal, Mrs. Garima S Bhardwaj thanked the master trainer for conducting such an informative and engaging workshop.

चंडीगढ़ के श्री अरबिंदो स्कूल ऑफ इंटीग्रल एजुकेशन में केंद्रीय विद्यालय शिक्षा बोर्ड (CBSE) द्वारा दिनभर एक इंटरैक्टिव कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया था। जिसमे श्री पंकज मुंजाल, सीबीएसई के संसाधन के लिए मास्टर ट्रेनर थे। कार्यशाला में सभी आयु वर्ग के छात्रों के बीच जीवन कौशल विकसित करने एवम बढ़ाने के विभिन्न तरीकों और तकनीकों के बारे में जानने के लिए विभिन्न ट्राइसिटी स्कूलों के लगभग 32 शिक्षकों ने भाग लिया। कार्यशाला की शुरुआत एक परिचयात्मक सत्र के साथ हुई, जिसके बाद जीवन कौशल विकसित करने के महत्व पर चर्चा हुई। आगे बढ़ते हुए, मुश्किल बच्चों के साथ कक्षा की स्थितियों को संभालने के तरीके पर भी बातचीत हुई । साथ ही, छात्रों के जीवन कौशल में मूल्य शिक्षा को कैसे शामिल किया जाए, यह बताया और समझाया गया। शिक्षकों को जागरूक किया गया कि वे केवल जीवन कौशल का पाठ तैयार न करें बल्कि इस तरह से योजना बनाएं कि यह मनोवैज्ञानिक सामाजिक क्षमता और युवा किशोरों के मानसिक स्वास्थ्य को बढ़ावा दे। बच्चों के बीच जीवन कौशल विकसित करने के लिए, शिक्षक और सहायक वास्तविक जीवन गतिविधियों, मस्तिष्क तूफान, स्थिति विश्लेषण, सिमुलेशन और कई अन्य इंटरैक्टिव गतिविधियों का उपयोग कर सकते हैं। कार्यशाला वास्तव में शिक्षकों के लिए एक समृद्ध अनुभव था क्योंकि इसने उन्हें अपने शिक्षण शैली में जीवन कौशल की नकल करने में मदद की ताकि आज के बच्चों को शिक्षा मिले जो उनके व्यक्तित्व को समग्र रूप से महत्व देता है। प्रिंसिपल, श्रीमती गरिमा एस भारद्वाज ने इस तरह की जानकारीपूर्ण और आकर्षक कार्यशाला के संचालन के लिए मास्टर ट्रेनर श्री पंकज मुंजाल जी को धन्यवाद दिया।
