British Dy High Commissioner celebrates Lohri with Rotarians

Chandigarh, 12 January: British Deputy High Commissioner Alba Smeriglio, joined the Rotary Club of Chandigarh at Lohri celebration here today at the Rotary House.

She commended Past Rotary International President Rajendra K Saboo and his wife Usha Saboo's contribution to the city and to the world through numerous humanitarian service projects while going around the Hall of Fame in Rotary House.

Alba Smerigl also showed keen interest in some of the landmark humanitarian service projects that Rotary Club of Chandigarh has initiated over the years including Rotary Heartline, PGI Serai, Rotary Blood Bank Society Resource Centre, Dolls Museum, and Rotary Peace Monument, intercontinental medicare project in African continent.

President Abha Joshi Sharma said that a celebration with children from Bapu Dham has been planned on 14th at the Bal Bhawan, where Rotarians would celebrate Lohri with them and distribute warm wears and goodies.

The special evening programme was hosted by Past President Rtn Hassan Mejie, and his wife Harkiran.

Rotarians, MBCT and volunteers make Gurpurab route from Chandigarh to Fatehgarh aheb, "Litter Free"

 

Fatehgarh Saheb:  Over 200 Rotarians and volunteers from Mehar Baba Charitable Trust (MBCT) worked throughout the day to keep the 28km stretch from Landran to Fatehgarh saheb clean during the annual 'Jor Mela'.

Jor Mela, Sakka Sirhind is an occasion where thousands of pilgrims congregate to pay tribute to Mata Gujri ji and Chhote Sahbzadas at Fatehgarh Saheb.

Led by past president Rtn. Hassan Singh Mejie along with Rotarians of 12 Rotary clubs from the Rotary Districts 3080 and 3090 participated in this massive cleanliness drive, including Rotary Clubs of Chandigarh, Chandigarh Uptown, Chandigarh Shivalik, Chandigarh Midtown, Silvercity Mohali, Kharar, Sirhind, Fatehgarh Saheb, Derabassi, and Ropar Central.

Hassan Singh Mejie who is also the Trustee Chair of MBCT led the volunteers carrying banners and placards throughout the route, collected litter around 50 plus langar pandals that were setup by various devotees along Landran-Fatehgarh saheb route, as well as Morinda to Bassi Pathana, generating awareness to keep the place clean and litter-free.

Mr Hassan Mejie said that local community became conscious of their own responsibility to keep the environment and neighbourhood clean.

The volunteers armed with 100 big garbage bins, 1500 garbage bags, 100s of banners and placards, made sure that the litter is removed from all such road-side langar pandals.

Thakur Mejie MBCT Trustee  said that besides the team of volunteers, many locals and sewadars also joined in this community action to keep their respective areas clean.

फतेहगढ़ साहिब: मेहर बाबा चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट (MBCT) के 200 से ज़्यादा रोटेरियन और स्वयंसेवकों ने सालाना 'जोर मेला' के दौरान लैंडरां से फतेहगढ़ साहिब तक 28 किमी के रास्ते को साफ रखने के लिए पूरे दिन काम किया।
जोर मेला, सक्का सरहिंद एक ऐसा मौका है जब हजारों तीर्थयात्री फतेहगढ़ साहिब में माता गुजरी जी और छोटे साहिबजादों को श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए इकट्ठा होते हैं।
पूर्व अध्यक्ष रोटेरियन हसन सिंह मेजी के नेतृत्व में रोटरी डिस्ट्रिक्ट 3080 और 3090 के 12 रोटरी क्लबों के रोटेरियन ने इस बड़े सफाई अभियान में हिस्सा लिया, जिसमें चंडीगढ़, चंडीगढ़ अपटाउन, चंडीगढ़ शिवालिक, चंडीगढ़ मिडटाउन, सिल्वरसिटी मोहाली, खरड़, सरहिंद, फतेहगढ़ साहिब, डेराबस्सी और रोपड़ सेंट्रल के रोटरी क्लब शामिल थे।
हसन सिंह मेजी, जो MBCT के ट्रस्टी चेयर भी हैं, ने स्वयंसेवकों का नेतृत्व किया, जो पूरे रास्ते बैनर और पोस्टर लेकर चल रहे थे, उन्होंने लैंडरां-फतेहगढ़ साहिब मार्ग के साथ-साथ मोरिंडा से बस्सी पठाना तक विभिन्न भक्तों द्वारा लगाए गए 50 से ज़्यादा लंगर पंडालों के आसपास से कचरा इकट्ठा किया, और जगह को साफ और कचरा मुक्त रखने के लिए जागरूकता फैलाई।
श्री हसन मेजी ने कहा कि स्थानीय समुदाय अपने पर्यावरण और आस-पड़ोस को साफ रखने की अपनी जिम्मेदारी के प्रति जागरूक हुआ।
100 बड़े कचरे के डिब्बे, 1500 कचरा बैग, सैकड़ों बैनर और पोस्टर से लैस स्वयंसेवकों ने यह सुनिश्चित किया कि सड़क किनारे के सभी लंगर पंडालों से कचरा हटा दिया जाए।
ठाकुर मेजी MBCT ट्रस्टी ने कहा कि स्वयंसेवकों की टीम के अलावा, कई स्थानीय लोग और सेवादार भी अपने-अपने इलाकों को साफ रखने के इस सामुदायिक कार्य में शामिल हुए।

ਜੋੜ ਮੇਲਾ, ਸੱਕਾ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੁਜਰੀ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਹਸਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੇਜੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਐਮਬੀਸੀਟੀ ਦੇ ਟਰੱਸਟੀ ਚੇਅਰ ਵੀ ਹਨ, ਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਤਖ਼ਤੀਆਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ, ਲਾਂਡਰਾਂ-ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਰੂਟ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਮੋਰਿੰਡਾ ਤੋਂ ਬੱਸੀ ਪਠਾਣਾ ਤੱਕ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਲਗਭਗ 50 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੰਗਰ ਪੰਡਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੂੜਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼-ਸੁਥਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੂੜਾ-ਕਰਕਟ ਰਹਿਤ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ।

ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਹਸਨ ਮੇਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਾ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਂਢ-ਗੁਆਂਢ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਹੋਇਆ।

100 ਵੱਡੇ ਕੂੜੇਦਾਨ, 1500 ਕੂੜੇ ਦੇ ਥੈਲੇ, 100 ਬੈਨਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਖ਼ਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਸੜਕ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੰਗਰ ਪੰਡਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੂੜਾ ਹਟਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਠਾਕੁਰ ਮੇਜੀ ਐਮਬੀਸੀਟੀ ਟਰੱਸਟੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਕ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ।

Rotary joins hands with Administration in polio immunisation campaign

 

Chandigarh, Dec 21:

Rotary Club of Chandigarh joined hand with Chandigarh Administration in the National Immunisation Day by conducting an awareness campaign and the support for management of polio booths,at five locations identified by the Department of Health, UT, informed President Rtn. Abha Joshi Sharma

Rotarians organised a Walkathon and motivated morning walkers to spread the world in their neighbourhood and families to immunise children below 5 years of age, said the campaign chair Rtn. Hassan Mejie.

Community service chair Rtn. Rosey Katyal, and many senior Rotarians including the former world president Rotary International Rajendra K Saboo also joined the walkathon at the Lake.

Rotary members have contributed over US$ 2.9 billion to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative besides the countless volunteer hours, protecting nearly 3 billion children in 122 countries.  It is only Pakistan and Afghanistan that remain as two endemic countries, and though India was declared polio free on 27 March 2014, there is a need to keep children protected till the world is 100 percent rid of this disease

पोलियो टीकाकरण अभियान में रोटरी ने प्रशासन के साथ हाथ मिलाया

चंडीगढ़, 21 दिसंबर:

रोटरी क्लब ऑफ चंडीगढ़ ने राष्ट्रीय टीकाकरण दिवस के अवसर पर चंडीगढ़ प्रशासन के साथ मिलकर जागरूकता अभियान चलाया और केंद्र शासित प्रदेश के स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा चिन्हित पांच स्थानों पर पोलियो बूथों के प्रबंधन में सहयोग प्रदान किया। यह जानकारी रोटरी क्लब की अध्यक्ष रोटेरियन आभा जोशी शर्मा ने दी।

अभियान के अध्यक्ष रोटेरियन हसन मेजी ने बताया कि रोटेरियनों ने एक वॉकथॉन का आयोजन किया और सुबह सैर करने वालों को अपने आस-पड़ोस और परिवारों में 5 वर्ष से कम आयु के बच्चों के टीकाकरण के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने के लिए प्रेरित किया।
लेक पर वॉकाथॉन में रोटरी क्लब  कम्युनिटी सर्विस चेयर रोज़ी कात्याल और कई वरिष्ठ रोटेरियन और चंडीगढ़ हेल्थ डिपार्टमेंट के अफसर व् कार्यकर्ता , जिनमें रोटरी इंटरनेशनल के पूर्व विश्व अध्यक्ष राजेंद्र के साबू भी शामिल थे, शामिल हुए।
रोटरी सदस्यों ने ग्लोबल पोलियो उन्मूलन पहल में US$ 2.9 बिलियन से ज़्यादा का योगदान दिया है, साथ ही अनगिनत स्वयंसेवी घंटे भी दिए हैं, जिससे 122 देशों में लगभग 3 बिलियन बच्चों को सुरक्षित रखा गया है। केवल पाकिस्तान और अफगानिस्तान ही दो ऐसे देश बचे हैं जहां यह बीमारी स्थानिक है, और हालांकि भारत को 27 मार्च 2014 को पोलियो मुक्त घोषित कर दिया गया था, लेकिन जब तक दुनिया इस बीमारी से 100 प्रतिशत मुक्त नहीं हो जाती, तब तक बच्चों को सुरक्षित रखने की आवश्यकता  है।

Cotton Duty Relief: NITMA Welcomes Govt Move, But Seeks GST Rationalization too

 

Ludhiana, August 20, 2025

 

The Northern India Textile Mills Association (NITMA) has lauded the Government of India's decisive move to exempt import duties on all varieties of cotton (HSN 5201), effective from August 19 to September 30, 2025, as notified by the Ministry of Finance Notification No. 35/2025-Customs dated 18.08.2025.

The exemption covers 5% customs duty, 5% Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess (AIDC), and 1% additional cess, offering much-needed relief to the textile industry.

Shri Munish Avasthi, Senior Vice President of NITMA, commended the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Ministers Shri Giriraj Singh and Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman for swiftly addressing the textile industry's pressing concerns which shall help achieve India's USD 100 billion textile export target, since the sector had been grappling with high raw material costs and a widening gap between domestic and global cotton prices.

"The removal of import duty on cotton is a strategic intervention that will stabilize the supply chain and support the entire cotton value chain during a period of acute raw material stress," said Mr. Avasthi.

 However, he also flagged a concern regarding the limited duration of the exemption, noting that cotton shipments from key sourcing countries such as the USA and Brazil, generally require 70-75 days, potentially limiting the benefit for importers.  

On the man-made fiber (MMF) front, Sidharth Khanna, President of NITMA, highlighted the long-standing issue of Inverted Duty Structure (IDS) under GST, which continues to hinder growth and investment across the MMF textile value chain.

While commending the government's proactive stance on cotton, Mr. Khanna urged the Ministries of Finance and Textiles to extend similar support to MMF sector by adopting a uniform 5% GST rate across the MMF value chain, in line with the cotton value chain by reducing GST on MMF yarn from 12% to 5%, and on inputs like PTA, MEG, and man-made fibers from 18% to 5%.

Khanna reiterated that correcting this anomaly would ease working capital constraints, especially for MSMEs, by reducing reliance on complex refund mechanisms and improving liquidity;  address cost disparities, as imported synthetic yarn—subject to just 5% duty or nil under FTAs—remains more economical than domestic yarn, which accumulates taxes; encourage investment, by resolving the non-adjustment of 18% GST on machinery due to IDS; and boost global and domestic competitiveness, without impacting government revenue, since fabrics are already taxed at 5%.

कपास सीमा शुल्क राहत: एनआईटीएमए ने सरकार के कदम का स्वागत किया, लेकिन जीएसटी तर्कसंगतकरण की भी मांग की

लुधियाना, 20 अगस्त, 2025: उत्तरी भारत टेक्सटाइल मिल्स एसोसिएशन (एनआईटीएमए) ने भारत सरकार के कपास के सभी प्रकार (एचएसएन 5201) पर सीमा शुल्क को 19 अगस्त से 30 सितंबर, 2025 तक छूट देने के निर्णय का स्वागत किया है। यह छूट वित्त मंत्रालय की अधिसूचना संख्या 35/2025- सीमा शुल्क दिनांक 18.08.2025 के माध्यम से दी गई है। इस छूट में 5% सीमा शुल्क, 5% कृषि बुनियादी ढांचा विकास सेस (एआईडीसी), और 1% अतिरिक्त सेस शामिल है, जो कपड़ा उद्योग को आवश्यक राहत प्रदान करता है।

 

एनआईटीएमए के वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष श्री मुनीश अवस्थी ने कपास पर सीमा शुल्क हटाने के सरकार के निर्णय की सराहना की और कहा कि यह कदम कपास मूल्य श्रृंखला को स्थिर करेगा और कच्चे माल के तीव्र तनाव के दौरान पूरी कपास मूल्य श्रृंखला का समर्थन करेगा। हालांकि, उन्होंने छूट की सीमित अवधि के बारे में भी चिंता व्यक्त की, क्योंकि प्रमुख स्रोत देशों जैसे कि अमेरिका और ब्राजील से कपास की ढुलाई में आमतौर पर 70-75 दिन लगते हैं, जिससे आयातकों के लिए लाभ सीमित हो सकता है।

 

एनआईटीएमए के अध्यक्ष सिद्धार्थ खन्ना ने मानव-निर्मित फाइबर (एमएमएफ) मोर्चे पर जीएसटी के तहत उल्टे शुल्क संरचना (आईडीएस) के दीर्घकालिक मुद्दे पर प्रकाश डाला, जो एमएमएफ कपड़ा मूल्य श्रृंखला में विकास और निवेश में बाधा उत्पन्न करता है। उन्होंने सरकार की सक्रिय रुख की सराहना की और वित्त और कपड़ा मंत्रालयों से एमएमएफ क्षेत्र में समान समर्थन प्रदान करने का आग्रह किया, जैसे कि एमएमएफ मूल्य श्रृंखला में एक समान 5% जीएसटी दर अपनाना, एमएमएफ यार्न पर जीएसटी को 12% से घटाकर 5% करना, और पीटीए, एमईजी और मानव-निर्मित फाइबर जैसे इनपुट पर 18% से 5% करना।

Rotarians Gift Smart Vision Glasses for the Visually Impaired

Chandigarh, August 11:  Rotarians in association with another NGO Vision Aids, provided state-of-the-art special vision glasses to 25 brilliant students of the Institute for the Blinds, here today. 

Immediate past district governor of Rotary District 3080, Rtn Rajpal Singh, informed that the project 'SuDrishti' was launched last year in association with Vision Aid,  to provide SMART VISION Glasses, a wearable device for the blind and visually impaired that utilizes Artificial Intelligence, Machine Vision, and Machine Learning. 

Manufactured by SHG Technologies, Bengaluru, each device costs Rs.36,750, inclusive of GST, the Rotary District 3080 and Vision Aid raised Rs.15 lakh for 40 pieces of these glasses, out of which 25 have been given to the brilliant students of Class 8 to 12 at the Institute for the Blind, Sector 26, while remaining 15 shall be distributed to the needy in other parts of the District 3080, added Rtn Rajpal Singh. 

Dinesh Kumar Kapila, Senior Vice-President-cum-Chairman, thanked the Rotarians and Vision India and said that this is a God-sent gift for these visually challenged children, while Principal of the Institute Rakesh Sharma said that this device would change the lives of the students. 

Project Director Rtn AP Singh informed that these glasses have an electronic brain and its AI capabilities shall enable the children can see and recognise objects, read in multiple languages, navigate easily with obstacle-alerts while walking, identify people with facial recognition, and even share images and location, store information, and is compatible for all-lighting conditions, and children would not need the scribe in writing their exams. 

Rtn Rajpal Singh expressed his gratitude to two Rotarians, Hari Om Verma of Rotary Chandigarh Uptown and P.J. Singh of Rotary Club Chandigarh for contributing Rs.5 lakh and Rs.2.5 lakh respectively for the project, and Vision Aid for matching the Rotary's contribution.

चंडीगढ़, 11 अगस्त: रोटेरियंस ने एक अन्य एनजीओ विजन एड्स के सहयोग से आज यहां इंस्टीट्यूट फॉर द ब्लाइंड्स के 25 प्रतिभाशाली छात्रों को अत्याधुनिक विशेष दृष्टि चश्मा प्रदान किए।

रोटरी डिस्ट्रिक्ट 3080 के तत्कालीन गवर्नर  राजपाल सिंह ने बताया कि 'सुदृष्टि' परियोजना का शुभारंभ पिछले वर्ष विजन एड के सहयोग से किया गया था, जिसका उद्देश्य स्मार्ट विजन ग्लास प्रदान करना है, जो एक पहनने योग्य उपकरण है जो आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस, मशीन विजन और मशीन लर्निंग का उपयोग करता है।

इन चश्मों का निर्माण बेंगलुरु की एसएचजी टेक्नोलॉजीज द्वारा किया गया है, जिसकी कीमत 36,750 रुपये प्रति यूनिट है, जिसमें जीएसटी शामिल है। रोटरी डिस्ट्रिक्ट 3080 और विजन एड ने 40 चश्मों के लिए 15 लाख रुपये जुटाए, जिनमें से 25 इंस्टीट्यूट फॉर द ब्लाइंड, सेक्टर 26 में कक्षा 8 से 12 के प्रतिभाशाली छात्रों को दिए गए हैं, जबकि शेष 15 अन्य जरूरतमंद लोगों को वितरित किए जाएंगे।

संस्थान के वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष और अध्यक्ष दिनेश कुमार कपिला ने रोटेरियंस और विजन इंडिया का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि यह दृष्टिबाधित बच्चों के लिए एक अनमोल उपहार है। संस्थान के प्रिंसिपल राकेश शर्मा ने कहा कि यह उपकरण छात्रों के जीवन को बदल देगा।

परियोजना निदेशक एपी सिंह ने बताया कि इन चश्मों में एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मस्तिष्क है और इसकी एआई क्षमताएं बच्चों को वस्तुओं को पहचानने, कई भाषाओं में पढ़ने, बाधा-चेतावनियों के साथ चलने, चेहरे की पहचान करने और यहां तक कि छवियों और स्थान को साझा करने में सक्षम बनाएंगी।

आरटीएन राजपाल सिंह ने दो रोटेरियंस, हरि ओम वर्मा और पीजे सिंह का आभार व्यक्त किया, जिन्होंने परियोजना के लिए क्रमशः 5 लाख और 2.5 लाख रुपये का योगदान दिया।¹ ²

Think of Others: Awareness Campaign Launched on Empathy for Less Privileged

 

Chandigarh, 24 July: A group of well meaning persons of Chandigarh today announced an initiative to impart awareness in society, especially amongst the youth, about the need for greater empathy for others.

Aptly titled I THINK OF OTHERS (I TOO) the new initiative aims at collaboration with schools, colleges and universities in order to spread the message amongst students in particular that they must spend more time and effort on upliftment of those who are not as fortunate as them.

Vivek Atray former IAS officer and TEDx Motivational Speaker said that the new campaign would focus on aspects like, Teaching the uneducated, Environment awareness, Helping the elderly, Creating social awareness about harmful trends and tendencies, cyber security, and adopting balanced and empathetic approach instead of being self-centered.

All these aspects would be concretised through seminars, workshops, awareness walkathons, musical events and literary competitions with educational institutions in the months to come.

Mr Atray informed that this initiative would be spread through various organisations including schools, colleges and Universities, Rotary clubs, Vibrant Forum and literary forum like Novel Bunch, NSS volunteers in various colleges, the schools and Universities.

The co-partners in this campaign, Ms Saguna Jain, Prof.Charanjit Singh, Col DS Cheema and Mr Hardeep Singh Chandpuri also spoke on the occasion and expressed their solidarity with the initiative.

दूसरों के बारे में सोचें: सहानुभूति जागरूकता अभियान शुरू

 

चंडीगढ़ के एक समूह ने आज समाज में, विशेष रूप से युवाओं में, दूसरों के प्रति अधिक सहानुभूति की आवश्यकता के बारे में जागरूकता प्रदान करने के लिए एक पहल की घोषणा की।

"आई थिंक ऑफ अदर्स (आई टू)" नामक इस नई पहल का उद्देश्य स्कूलों, कॉलेजों और विश्वविद्यालयों के साथ सहयोग करना है ताकि छात्रों को यह संदेश दिया जा सके कि उन्हें उन लोगों के उत्थान के लिए अधिक समय और प्रयास करना चाहिए जो उतने भाग्यशाली नहीं हैं।

पूर्व आईएएस अधिकारी और टेडएक्स प्रेरणादायक वक्ता विवेक अत्रे ने कहा कि यह अभियान निम्नलिखित पहलुओं पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा, अशिक्षितों को शिक्षित करना, पर्यावरण जागरूकता, वृद्धों की मदद करना, हानिकारक रुझानों और प्रवृत्तियों के बारे में सामाजिक जागरूकता, स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण के बारे में जागरूकता,  कौशल विकास और नेतृत्व विकास, साइबर सुरक्षा और इसके खतरों के बारे में जागरूकता,  रिश्तों और कार्यों में सौहार्द और सकारात्मकता बनाए रखने की आवश्यकता, आत्म-केंद्रित होने के बजाय संतुलित और सहानुभूतिपूर्ण दृष्टिकोण अपनाना, और समाज में सकारात्मक विचारों और प्रेरणा को फैलाने के लिए सोशल मीडिया का उपयोग करना ।

इन पहलुओं को आगामी महीनों में शैक्षिक संस्थानों के साथ संगोष्ठियों, कार्यशालाओं, जागरूकता वॉकथॉन, संगीत कार्यक्रमों और साहित्यिक प्रतियोगिताओं के माध्यम से ठोस रूप दिया जाएगा।

श्री अत्रे ने सूचित किया कि इस पहल को विभिन्न संगठनों के माध्यम से फैलाया जाएगा, जिनमें स्कूल, कॉलेज और विश्वविद्यालय, रोटरी क्लब, वाइब्रेंट फोरम और नॉवेल बंच जैसे साहित्यिक मंच, विभिन्न कॉलेजों में एनएसएस स्वयंसेवक, स्कूल और विश्वविद्यालय शामिल हैं।

इस अभियान के सह-भागीदार, सुश्री सगुना जैन, प्रोफेसर चरणजीत सिंह, कर्नल डीएस चीमा और श्री हरदीप सिंह चंदपुरी ने भी इस अवसर पर बात की और इस पहल के साथ अपनी एकजुटता व्यक्त की।
