Bhavan Vidyalaya gets ready for 71st Republic Day Celebrations

Photo by Anand Thakur on Unsplash

The 26th of January is a poignant one at Bhavan Vidyalaya in more ways than one. While on
the one hand we celebrate the birth of a sovereign democratic India, on the other, we rejoice
in the achievements and accomplishments of our students who personate the values the
the institution stands for. True to the values held dear by our founder father Kulpati Dr K M
Munshi, we at Bhavans make every effort in restoring an awareness of the values of Satyam
(Truth), Shivam (Love), Sundaram (Beauty) in our collective lives.

The Annual Prize Distribution is an endeavour to this end, a ceremony to honour and applaud
the efforts of students who have shown excellence in academics, social work, leadership,
cultural and literary activities and participated in innovative projects, doing the institution
proud.

These awards include the prestigious C. Subramanian award for Excellence in
Character, the Luis Vicente Giay Trophy for Outstanding Leadership, Shri Khanna Memorial
Award for Excellence in Character and a host of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Special Incentive
awards.

The Induction of the new Students' Cabinet is another significant aspect of the day’s
celebrations. The proverbial ' Change of Guard' is a momentous occasion, as the outgoing
Students' Council led by current school captain and vice-captain relinquishes its charge,
which is passed on to the new sentinels of the institution by the Senior Principal.

This year, the Students' Council led by Anjali Bhardwaj and Angad Kaur shall relinquish their
duties and pass on the baton of duty to the new Students' Council, set to be led Prabhav
Sharma and Armaan Misra.
